Weight Loss Coaching Packages in Charlotte, NC: Structure, Tracking, Accountability
How Coaching Fits Every Package
Your coach, your check-ins, your numbers
Coaching is the product here, not an add-on, so every package runs on the same coach-led routine. Your coach is Brent Mague, MBA, ISSA Weight Management Specialist and Nutritionist. At your free consultation he takes your history and reads your Styku 3D body composition scan, so the plan starts from measured body fat, lean mass and circumferences rather than a scale reading. In the goal-setting session you agree the target out loud and it is written down. On Trim & Tone and Elite, Jillian Harrell, MS, RD, LDN, Registered Dietitian, builds the nutrition side and Olivia Mague, BS, sets movement targets that fit your week, and Elite adds direct dietitian access between check-ins. Coaching stands on its own, and it also pairs with the Weight Loss Program when medical care belongs in the plan.
Check-ins are scheduled at the goal-setting session, weekly or biweekly, in person at the Matthews clinic or by video, and each one reviews the week as it actually went, including the parts that went badly. Styku rescans every four to eight weeks judge progress on fat and lean mass rather than scale weight, so decisions rest on trend rather than mood. When progress stalls, your coach checks adherence, protein and resistance targets first, adjusts the plan and sets the next target with you. Anything medical, a symptom, a hormone concern or a prescription question, is routed to Impact Health Network licensed physicians through a telehealth visit we arrange, and they make any medical decision. What Is Weight Loss Coaching?
Structure, planning and tracking
Weight loss coaching is structured behavioral support: a written plan, agreed targets, scheduled check-ins and objective tracking, sold as three packages: Essential, Trim & Tone and Elite. The NIDDK places behavioral support at the center of lasting weight management.
A session reviews the week honestly, tunes meals around what you actually eat, sets movement targets for a bad week, and solves what derailed you. Styku rescans judge progress on fat and lean mass, not scale weight. Coaching runs alone or inside the weight loss program.

Who Is a Good Candidate for a Weight Loss Coaching Package?
Coaching suits people who want a partner rather than a product, and it works with or without medication. There are few reasons not to do it, but they are worth naming.
Ideal Candidates for Weight Loss Coaching
- Knowing what to do and not doing it
- Not wanting medication, or not cleared for it
- Lost weight before and regained it
- In the weight loss program, building the habit side
- Willing to attend check-ins and be honest
Who Should Wait or Look Elsewhere
- Active or recovering eating disorder
- Unwilling to attend scheduled check-ins
- Wanting a meal plan emailed, no interaction
- Weight change that needs a physician's review first
What We Establish Before Coaching Starts
- What your previous attempts looked like
- A baseline scan of fat and lean mass
- Whether medication is part of your plan
- Goals you set yourself, written down
- Which package fits, and a check-in cadence you will actually keep
If you would rather understand your own biology before starting, pair coaching with genetic and metabolic testing in Charlotte, NC and a 3D body composition scan so the plan is built on your numbers.

Coaching Safety, Scope and Limits
Coaching carries no physical risk, but scope matters and we hold it carefully. Two specific cautions deserve naming.
What Our Coaches Are Certified to Do
Our coaches are certified in weight management and nutrition, and our Registered Dietitian holds an MS, RD, LDN with ACSM exercise physiology certification, the credential pathway described by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Aspire Trim Clinic is not a medical practice and does not diagnose, treat or prescribe.
Where something medical surfaces during coaching, whether that is a suspected hormone problem, a symptom that needs investigating, or a medication question, it goes to Impact Health Network licensed physicians through a telehealth visit we arrange, or back to your own physician.
When We Decline the Booking
Anyone with an active or recovering eating disorder needs specialist clinical care rather than weight loss coaching, and frequent body measurement can be actively harmful in that context.
We will say so and decline rather than take the booking, and we will point you toward the specialist care that is actually indicated.
Lean Mass and What Coaching Is Not
Rapid weight loss of any kind costs lean muscle, which is why protein targets and resistance training are non-negotiable parts of every coaching package and why we rescan rather than relying on the scale.
Aspire provides ISSA-certified coaching, concierge services and technology and is your point of entry; coaching content is educational rather than medical advice. See how the Aspire process works for the wider journey and where each part sits.

Weight Loss Coaching Package Questions, Answered
Before your first session
What is included in each weight loss coaching package?
Essential includes ISSA-certified coaching, a goal-setting session, a Styku baseline scan with rescans, and scheduled check-ins. Trim & Tone adds meal planning with Jillian Harrell, MS, RD, LDN, our Registered Dietitian, and movement programming with Olivia Mague, BS. Elite adds direct dietitian access, priority scheduling and concierge coordination with Impact Health Network licensed physicians when medical care is appropriate. Every package includes the free consultation and scan.
Which coaching package should I choose?
Choose Essential if you mainly need structure and someone checking in. Choose Trim & Tone if you want your nutrition and movement built for you rather than figured out alone. Choose Elite if you want the fullest support, faster answers between sessions and a single point of contact. We talk it through at your free consultation and you can move between packages as your needs change.
How much does weight loss coaching cost in Charlotte, NC?
Your consultation and first body composition scan are free, and the exact investment is discussed at that visit once we know which package fits. Coaching is sold as packages, Essential, Trim & Tone or Elite, rather than by the hour. Cherry payment plans are our primary financing option, with PatientFi and Klarna also available. See our financing options for details.
How often are coaching sessions?
Weekly or biweekly depending on the package and where you are in the program, tapering as habits become established. Early on, more frequent contact matters because that is when plans fall apart. Later, monthly check-ins are often enough to hold the result. We set the cadence with you rather than for you.
Can coaching happen online?
Yes. Sessions run in clinic in Matthews or by video, and plenty of clients mix the two around work and travel. Online sessions save the drive, which adds up meaningfully over six months. If you are outside the Charlotte area entirely, our online weight loss program is the remote version of the same coaching model.
Do I need medication as well?
No. Coaching is a complete option and plenty of clients do it alone, either by choice or because the physician decided medication was not appropriate. Clients who combine coaching with the weight loss program, where prescription weight loss medication is prescribed by Impact Health Network licensed physicians where appropriate, typically do better than either alone.
What actually happens in a coaching session?
We review the week honestly, including the parts that went badly, then adjust. Protein and meal structure get tuned around what you will realistically eat, movement targets get set for a bad week rather than a perfect one, and we problem-solve the specific obstacle that derailed you. It is practical, not motivational speaking.
Who is my coach?
Brent Mague, MBA, an ISSA-certified Weight Management Specialist and Nutritionist, leads coaching, with meal planning from Jillian Harrell, MS, RD, LDN, our Registered Dietitian, and movement programming from Olivia Mague, BS Kinesiology. It is a small team, so you see the same faces and never re-explain your history.
What if I have a bad week?
You tell us, and we work out why. Clients consistently say they value that we never judge, and that is not a slogan: a coach who makes you dread the check-in is a coach you stop attending. Bad weeks are data about what does not work in your life, which is exactly what we need to adjust the plan.
How is progress measured?
On Styku 3D body composition scans every four to eight weeks, showing fat and lean mass separately, plus circumferences. That matters because a stalled scale with fat down and muscle up is progress measured with the wrong tool. Scale weight alone has ended more good programs than anything else.
How long do I need coaching for?
Most clients run three to six months of active coaching to reach an agreed target, then move to less frequent maintenance check-ins. We plan the maintenance phase at the start, because the point where most programs stop is exactly where regain begins. Some clients stay on light maintenance indefinitely by choice.
Does coaching help with a weight loss plateau?
It is often the fastest fix for one. Genuine plateaus usually come down to lean mass loss, a hormone question nobody has looked at, sleep, or a deficit that quietly stopped being a deficit. We rescan and look at the data rather than telling you to try harder. Read more on our weight loss plateau page and in why am I not losing weight.
